Refinance

Refinance the MCA and kill the daily debit

Refinance is the first move, not the last. If a merchant cash advance can be taken out and replaced with a facility the business can actually service, that is how you kill the daily debit. See how we work an MCA file and MCA debt relief.

Take-out vs fake consolidation

Take-out means the MCA is paid off and the daily ACH stops. What replaces it has to be a payment the cash flow can hold.

Fake consolidation is another merchant cash advance on top of the last one. A new advance that services an old one is not consolidation. It is stacking. It multiplies the debit. It does not kill the daily ACH. Read stacked merchant cash advances.

What the package contains

A dedicated team builds the package: capital markets, cash-flow, and negotiation — not a one-person shop and not a call center. The package is the file a take-out conversation can actually use:

  • Cash-flow, including daily ACH and what clears before payroll
  • The stack: funder, remaining balance, debit
  • The contracts
  • UCC-1 filings against the business
  • Personal guarantee copies if you have them
  • A payment the operating account can hold, and what done has to look like

UCC and stacking as bank-deal killers

A UCC-1 on the business is not paperwork. It is a lien a bank deal has to live with. One or more filings, plus stacked ACH hitting the same account, is how a take-out dies before it starts. Cleaning that up is part of the package — not a slogan after the fact.

SBA SOP 50 10 8 / 7(a) as of 1 June 2025

As of 1 June 2025, SBA SOP 50 10 8 / 7(a) cannot refinance merchant cash advances. A 7(a) takeout is not the path. If we talk refinance on this page, we mean a real take-out the cash flow can hold — not an SBA 7(a) that the rules do not allow, and not another MCA labeled consolidation.

If take-out is not available, we do not invent it. We move to a negotiation file, and if the funder will not cooperate, to legal-path prep with licensed counsel.

FAQs

Is another MCA a refinance?

No. Another merchant cash advance is not take-out and it is not consolidation. It is stacking. Take-out kills the daily debit. A new advance multiplies it.

What is in a refinance package?

Cash including daily ACH, the stack, the contracts, UCC filings, personal guarantees, and a payment the operating account can hold. A dedicated team builds that file.

Why do UCC filings and stacking kill a bank deal?

A UCC-1 is a lien on the business. Stacked ACH is more than one debit on the same account. Together they are how a take-out conversation ends before it starts.

Can SBA 7(a) refinance an MCA?

Not as of 1 June 2025. SBA SOP 50 10 8 / 7(a) cannot refinance merchant cash advances. We do not sell that path.

What if take-out is not available?

We do not invent it. Next is a negotiation file. If the funder will not cooperate, legal-path prep with licensed counsel.

Do you hold funds or run the take-out as a settlement mill?

No. We are a consulting firm. We are not a debt settlement company. We do not hold client funds. You stay in control of the money.

St. Germain Strategy is an advisory firm. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we are not a debt settlement company. We do not hold client funds. When a file needs licensed counsel, we will say so and help you prepare to work with them.
